Accidents happen. I have had several clarinet repairs done recently, and the work was done so well, and at such a reasonable price, that I confidently recommend Kessler & Sons Music to anyone needing an instrument repaired in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kessler & Sons has 3 shops in Las Vegas, but it is the one on Charleston and Mohave where the owner, Chuck Kessler, runs the repair shop along with 4 other technicians. Call ahead to make sure Chuck will be in, and then take your instrument in and show Chuck the problem.

Repair of broken tenon, February 2010, $30

Kessler & Sons patched the bottom tenon of a lower clarinet joint after it had been dropped and chipped off below the cork about a quarter of the way around. The patch was made with powdered grenadilla mixed with super glue and turned on a lathe. The result was as good as new and cosmetically invisible. Chuck also quoted a price of $90 for a complete tenon replacement, which is very reasonable, though in this case the patch was all that was needed.

Repair of broken key, December 2009, $20

Kessler & Sons silver soldered back together a long left hand E/B key which was broken in half. It was a neat and sturdy job. Chuck also straightened a couple of other keys on the clarinet, no charge.

Repair of misaligned ring, October, 2011, no fee
